Aussies here! The staff here are all absolutely amazing! From the first moment you arrive, they make you feel so welcome. I travelled with a lady who lives with autism and extreme anxiety, and she blossomed here, because she felt safe to be herself. Everyone is genuinely kind, from the management to the maintenance guys to the cleaning staff. A wonderful atmosphere. Thank you Magic Castle for an unforgettable holiday!

If anyone is looking for a great little spot to call home while in LA, look no further than The Magic Castle Hotel .

From check-in to check-out, this place ticks all the boxes. The free snacks, soda machine, soft serve and popsicle hotline get all the glory, but what I find most useful is the free laundry service.

You bag up your dirty clothes in the bags provided, drop to the front desk, and this is where the magic happens. The amazing staff will wash, dry, fold and deliver your clothes back to your room for you to continue your journey (or on my most recent trip) pack into your suitcase for the trip home. Making one less thing you have to worry about when you get home. It is wrapped in paper which makes for easy packing.

I cannot praise this service enough. It’s the little things that make a huge difference.

A trip to LA from Australia is not complete without a stay at The Magic Castle Hotel.

Also, for those wanting to try the Australian delicacy, Vegemite, this is on the breakfast menu.

This is our second time staying at the magic castle hotel and we can’t recommend it enough. The amenities they provide are so fun and not something you get anywhere else and it’s just fun to be there in general. I want to shout out all the staff, every single person we have spoken to on the phone and in person have been the nicest, most helpful people ever. I had some issues with my most recent reservation (I had to change dates 2x to line up with availability at the magic castle) and they were swift in their help in finding the dates that worked for us while being so patient. I wish I got everyone’s names, but from our most recent stay, want to shout out Nicole who was so friendly in helping me answer last minute questions regarding our reservation.

This property was a fun surprise! The guest service is amazing! Everyone is happy, helpful and friendly! The units are in a 1940’s apartment building built around a pool that is so fun! It is adorable. Rooms are spacious and clean. Champagne on arrival, free ice cream, sodas and snacks. You are in the heart of old Hollywood just blocks from Hollywood Blvd. Sit down by the pool and relax with a few free snacks.

You MUST stay here if staying in Hollywood especially for families. The price was competitive but some other features made it a truly memorable stay and rare hotel find. The location is second to none – 100m walk from where you want to go on Hollywood Boulevard. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The staff were uniquely warm friendly and the family atmosphere was lovely. The included breakfast was very satisfying. But the unlimited free snacks, icecream, popsicles and hot and soft drinks were an amazingly unique feature for a hotel that make it a family treasure.

The Magic Castle Hotel is — without hyperbole — one of the best hotels my wife and I have ever stayed in. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and just a short walk from the main strip of Hollywood. That alone would have made it a great stay.

But what sets this place apart are the little things: the thoughtful touches that transform this hotel into an experience. Free snacks and refreshments (yes, free. No $10 boxes of M&Ms here).

A popsicle hotline by the pool: pick up the phone, request a popsicle, and moments later one of their staff delivers one to you.

Speaking of the staff… The level of care, warmth, and attentiveness was on another level. They consistently went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed, comfortable, and genuinely taken care of. It wasn’t just hospitality — it was magic.

We had the best time at the Magic Castle. The staff looked after us so well. We were there with my Mum. Our room was perfect! It was the most comfy sofa bed she had on our trip!!
With the free ice cream and chocolates and movies by the pool and the service, coming back in the evenings after a big day was so good.

Awesome hotel great service, clean, great Aussie inspired breakfast. Loved the laundry service and all the little extras. Wonderful location for access to Hollywood and great value for money $. Popular with families and couples it was quiet at night but the pool was popular during the day.

Great customer service, entertainment – MAGIC, perfect heated pool temperature, included breakfast and snacks. This hotel was apartments built in the 1960s so it has a vintage feel to it. I like that and the fact that the Magic Castle is steps away, along with Yamashiro restaurant – and all of the Hollywood attractions within walking distance. I really enjoyed my stay. A special shout out to Johann, Shannon and Kevin for making my stay extra warm and welcoming!

Small but clean and modern room. Larger shower and bathroom. Excellent front desk services and fun freebies like ice cream, popsicle, and soda machine all day. It’s right next-door to the Magic Castle! The location is in walking distance from many of the things you want to see. You’ll feel safe and secure there.

Such a pleasant experience. The hotel is a magical place. Never have I seen so many happy smiling faces only to realize I too am left smiling. My only complaint is I may have gained a few lbs by ending every night enjoying a nightcap of soft serve ice cream.!

This is my go-to Hollywood hotel. Clean (and HUGE) rooms, friendly and accommodating staff – and who doesn’t love the amenities? Full size snacks, soft drink machine, soft serve ice cream, and a Popsicle hotline, all complimentary. A fantastic value!

I love, love, love this hotel! The staff are wonderful and very accommodating! It is in a great location, close to a lot of attractions. They do your laundry for free and give you free snacks! You can also go to the Magic Castle if you stay here!

This hotel is quite frankly one of the best I’ve ever been in anywhere. The staff is outstanding, the manager, Darren Ross, is just incredible, the rooms are Old Hollywood and the location is the best in the city. I’ve stayed in most of the Hollywood – Valley hotels over the years in the L.A. area and Magic Castle does the “little things” better than anyone. I have stayed with them close to 20 years in a row now and they never fail to please. The ambience and atmosphere are just amazing and if you want to “feel” Hollywood, this is the place! None better!!!!

Staff are amazing always willing to help.welcoming drinks were a surprise after a long flight from the UK .All the facilities were brilliant from the popsicle hotline to the laundry service was was placed back in your room in a paper bag with lavender ( its the small things ) the location was good 5 min walk from the walk of fame.the rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast was just right .nothing to heaving before a day of exploring LA. Definately would go again and stay at the Magic castle hotel without a doubt.Darren was always talkative and friendly like the atmosphere around the hotel.

My cousin asked me for a hotel recommendation for Hollywood for her up coming trip in July. Of course she booked The Magic Castle after hearing what I had to say and doing a little research!
Then, she asked me to join her! I thought about it for around 2 seconds and said yes!

I wasn’t even planning a USA trip, so you could say I’m going back just for the pleasure of staying at the hotel. Plus spending time with my cousin of course!

My husband and I stayed at the Magic Castle Hotel for our wedding Anniversary. We booked a packaged that granted us access to the Magic Castle, next door, for dinner and an evening of magic shows. The hotel is actually a 1950s apartment building and in a busy, but safe area. We had a very large, clean 1 bedroom apartment with a fully equipped kitchen where folks staying a bit longer could cook meals. The king sized bed was very comfortable. And the couch in the living room was a comfy spot to watch tv on the large flat screen. At checkin we were greeted with a warm welcome and a glass of champagne. The entire staff was friendly and hospitable. The pool area is clean and stocked with floaties, life vests, goggles, towels and ice water to drink. You can even pick up the red phone to have popsicles delivered poolside. On top of that you may have unlimited snacks of all kinds, a soda fountain and an ice cream machine. I will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to couples and families. For folks from outside the area, you can walk down one block and be on Hollywood Blvd that has lots of touristy things to see. You can also take the Red Line to Universal Studios which is a very short subway train ride. And the subway/trains in LA are not crowded like in London or Paris. Everyone has a seat and you do not have to worry about pickpockets.

I recently booked a stay at the Magic Castle Hotel after having stayed there many times. After experiencing some of the finest hospitality service around the world, I can confidently say this is my favorite hotel. The check in experience alone is exceptional. I will never forget one of the front desk agents walking out from behind the desk with champagne glasses saying “I just wanted to tell you how happy we are that you are here.” Unbelievable. This combined with the unlimited snacks and the novelty of the popsicle phone will always be one of my fondest memories. I just booked another stay with Shannon, she answered every one of my questions and was instrumental in creating a smooth and pulchritudinous guest experience for me. I have worked in hospitality for many years and I would say that Shannon is exactly the type of individual that is perfect for creating such a winsome environment. You have received a lifelong customer and I will be returning to this establishment 100%

Had an awesome experience at the Magic Castle Hotel a couple of weeks back. The hotel is great. The staff is very friendly and professional– we felt immediately welcomed. Our room was very comfortable and the pool, snacks and popsicles make it a great stay for kids and adults alike.

We were there to go to the Magic Castle and that was one of the best things that we did during our visit to California. Saw shows from several excellent magicians in one night is a very unique setting. Definitely worth seeing if you’re interested in magic.

In another note, we left the hotel early in the morning and I left behind several items of clothing. The team there were nice enough to find what I left and to mail it back to my home- something that was highly appreciated.

We will definitely come back!

This was my fifth stay at the Magic Castle Hotel, and somehow against all laws of physics and guest service, it keeps getting better. I don’t know how they do it. Whatever the reason, I’m here for it.

Even though we don’t live far away, we keep coming back because the experience is unbeatable, and places us right in the heart of LA. But it’s not just about location, it’s about the little things, and this place has mastered the art of them.

First off, the welcome glass of champagne sets the tone: “You’ve arrived. Relax. You’re fancy now.” Then, the free snack assortment, a Kit Kat dreamland where candy bars and chips are yours for the taking. And let’s not forget the magical drink machine. Press a button, and your beverage of choice appears. My personal recommendation…Diet Barq’s and Coke Zero mixed together, a flavor combination that tastes like bad decisions and good times. And the best part is it’s all included, so I can hydrate (or over-caffeinate) guilt-free.

The apartment-style rooms are spacious and comfortable, making you feel less like you’re staying in a hotel and more like you’ve somehow moved in and no one has noticed yet. And the breakfast is casual, cozy, with phenomenal coffee that somehow tastes better when you’re sipping it while basking in the morning Hollywood sun.

But above all, the service is what truly makes this place shine. The staff somehow anticipates your needs before you even have them, making every stay feel personal, warm, and just a little bit magical.

The bottom line is that they nail it, every time. Not because of gimmicks but because they understand that the real magic is in the small details. And for that, I’ll keep coming back.

Wow this place is magical in so many ways. From the moment you walk in and all throughout our stay we were greeted by the most friendly and helpful staff who will go out of their way to make sure your stay is magical.
Breakfast that is included had lots of options with a performing Magician, loads of quality snacks that they provided, very comfortable beds, clean rooms and hotel grounds.
The only problem was we didn’t stay long enough so will definitely be back.
A big THANK YOU to Darren who personally delivered a few belongings to Anaheim that we had left behind, some being a bag of dirty washing that they washed before delivering and omg the clothes smell divine.
